The function is performed by the steel cage of three stays that are arranged in a star shape. The tourbillon is composed of 91 parts and weighs 0.433. This tourbillon rotates once every minute against the deep black background under part of the cage-and that is where people find it is very mysterious and intriguing. IWC Purtuguese Tourbillon Mystere Retrograde has two variants: 18k red gold case a silver-plated dial and platinum case with ruthenium-black dial. The former is limited to 500 pieces, while the latter is limited to 250 pieces.
